| Back | This is a wonderful
vintage necklace crafted from genuine Tortoise Shell Necklace with lovely
inlaid Silver Shapes. The center drop is a heart-shaped Tortoise
Shell with an engraved Sterling Silver Palm Tree insert. There
are 10 other heart-shaped Tortoise Shell pieces with
decorative Silver inserts. The entire necklace which measures 17
inches in length is done entirely in Tortoise Shell with oblong,
oval and heart shaped links. Tortoise Shell is one of nature's
natural plastics. Pique' is produced by pressing a heated rod of
precious metal into the shell - in this case, Sterling Silver -
melting it slightly. When the Shell cools it hardens around the
precious metal. This is a wonderful vintage necklace in great
