| Back | This Victorian pique'
tortoise shell brooch is inlaid with 14kt. gold. Pique' is gold
or silver inlaid into another material such as tortoise shell or
ivory. This antique brooch has a finely executed design. The
brooch measures 1-1/4" around and 1/8" thick. It has a rectangular piece
of black onyx in the center and 14kt. gold studding around the
outside, along with an intricate decoration on the inside. The
hinge and the "C" clasp are all 14kt. gold. Pique jewelry is no
longer being made, and beautiful rare pieces like this are
