tortoise shell brooch is inlaid with 14k gold. Pique' is gold or
silver inlaid into another material such as tortoise shell or
ivory. This antique tortoise shell brooch has a finely executed
design. The brooch measures 1-1/4 inches around and 1/8 inches
thick. It has a rectangular piece of black onyx in the center
and 14k gold studding around the
outside, along with an intricate decoration on the inside. The
hinge and the "C" clasp are all 14k gold. Pique jewelry is no
longer being made, and beautiful rare pieces like this are
