The frame is bezel with a swivel bail for a chain and a white gold rod for the pin, with yellow gold hardware and a hidden safety lock. The vintage cameo is hand-carved shell with a light cream color background and light brown color carving. The design is of a Roman soldier with head gear, mace vest and carved pendant around his neck. The cameo is oval in shape and measures 2-1/2 inches in length and 1-3/4 inches in width. The chain (not pictured) is yellow gold-filled; it has a spring ring clasp and measures 22 inches in length. The design resembles a cable link.
