A beautiful example of a Victorian Scottish agate brooch set in silver - it is unmarked, as is common with these pieces. This brooch has an attractive petal
shape and measures 2 inches around. It fastens with an extended "T" hinge however, the original "C" clasp has been replaced with a safety catch. The polished pieces of agate have beveled edges,
and are backed by a single piece of slate. The stones are absolutely beautiful and have no damage whatsoever. The slate on the back has a slight crack, however. This is a very impressive brooch and would
make a wonderful gift for someone. A true treasure!
